I'm looking to move out of my original small inn room into a more spacious two room apt, and a good in-game group member asked if I wanted to split the rent and room together, with one taking on the obligation and the other paying half of all expenses to the other player.
My question is this... how will the house vault and merch board situation go for this? Sounds to me like that could get confusing and a little hairy...
Anyone out there currently sharing a room with another player and if so are there are bits of info I need to know, particularly concerning how to keep merch board sales separate?

The room vault will ONLY belong to whoever owns the room. The other person will not be able to access the vault in any way. So any selling that person wants to do will strictly be in-game selling. (Unless the room owner wants to share some of the space in his/her vault boxes)

Yuck, that's what I was afraid of... so do the number of slots in house vault increase with the upgraded housing? Or does it stay just two slot?
Nope. Two slots is all you get no matter how big the home.
note - there is talk on the SOE boards of an increase in vault size at some future pointin time but I have yet to "hear" it from a dev.
