Nice walkthrough. I followed it and it worked great!
The doll was a pain to find, and I had a little trouble with the flowers, but your writeup on the stick was great for at least getting to the right spot, geez that thing is hidden well :)

I looked for the doll for 5 hours.
Then I deleted quest and gated out of the zone.
When I zoned back the doll was at the entrance to the zone.
