2-boxing EQ2? / betrayal?Follow

#1 May 25 2005 at 1:49 AM Rating: Decent
Pt 1: I was just curious if anyone 2-boxes on EQ2? I know it is done frequently on EQ1 but hadn't heard of anyone doing it on EQ2.

Pt 2: Has anyone done the betrayal from F to Q? I am almost trhough and had some questions.
Once you have completed do the townies accept you into the fold just as if you had first started off there?
Do you go through the same rig-a-marole to become a citizen? Chasing down the sign, fighting the first mobs, and receiving your book?
How do you link up with your new tradeskill hole in the wall?
What happens to your old city tradeskill quest? Does it roll over to the new city?

I think that's it for now.

Yes, I occasionally 2 box, thought not often. Of course, I play a lot more EQ1 than EQ2.

Yes, when you are done you are completely accepted into the fold. Some NPCs may have some less than polite things to say to you, but you still can fully interact with them, get quests and so forth. (actually, some NPCs will say really nice things to you. I had a high elf move to Freeport, and there is a dark elf NPC who cheers me on when I hail her and she is all excited about seeing an evil high elf).
You do NOT have to do the citizenship quest. To link up with a new TS instance, just pick one and join it like noraml. If you forgot to leave the one in your old city, you can leave the old one in the socieites submenu.

Is there still a problem with having an Inn room at the old city?

I know a guildmate that did Freeport-to-Qeynos betrayal and forgot to close out his room in Freeport. That resulted in him not being able to get a room in Qeynos.

He has since got a room in Qeynos, but I don't remember what the solution was.

I completely emptied my room and vault before vacating. A guide I have been following has been very helpful so far. It's just that there are things that aren't covered. When I get through this I think I will add my two copper to the guide posts.

I have been trying unsuccessfully to get in with a group to help me finish up 3 of the named gnolls and the last npc. I am hoping to be able to do this over the weekend. My bag are seriously full and my copper is on over load.

WEll you can sell in Antonica. There's also a mender in Antonica. He's closer to Qeynos gates but he's there and there's merchant NPC's there. I used the guide from Free to Qey from this site and it was laid out very well I thought.
