Cant seem to cancel account on my credit card.Follow

I was wondering how many of you, have had this problem. I tried to cancel a couple of accounts on my credit card last month and apparently one of them didnt work, and i was charged again, for that account. I clearly remeber canceling the account, as it asked me if i was sure i wanted to cancel. AFter that i hit yes, and it brought me to this questionaire that I didnt feel the need to fill out. Apparently, you must fill out that questionaire in order to finish billing on your account. Of course they do not make that fact clear in any way to you. Then upon asking them about it they say no refunds and your stuck with something you dont want. Has this happend to anybody else? I would like to collect names of people who have had this happen to them, as I going to my credit card company with this, and i have already contacted the consumer protection agency. This actualy happend on both accounts, but because of the lack of game cards available at the time, friend asked if i could renew subscription for him, i did, and when we tried to cancel, the account was billed again because of that damn questionaire and the fact they dont let you know that you must fill it out in order to end billing. IF that isnt misleading then in dont know what is.

Something similar happened to me. I went to cancel my husband's account but was billed for it anyway, this was about 3 months ago. It made me angry enough to finally cancel my EQ2 account for a while, but I eventually signed back up...so far no double billing this time, but it is a real pain to cancel your account in this game, I'll say that much.

This happened to me too. I selected to cancel my account, but choose not to fill out their survey. As a result, it was not canceled. I was charged an additional month. This is BS, they make it difficult to cancel! Even after you fill out the survey, they try to convince you to not cancel, and you must select again that you want to cancel. It should not be this difficult to cancel an account, and frankly is downright deceptive. No where does it indicate that the survey is required, and by all means i should not have to explain myself as to why i want to cancel.

Perhaps a class action lawsuit is in store if enough people respond to this.

After 2 phone calls I was partialy refunded my money, but not in full amount. First guy told me I could not get a refund and had to email a person, which then he gave me a bunk email address. I had asked to speak to his supervisor, but it would seem that they will not talk to you , only can respond via email, then he had threatened to hang up, after I had repeatly asked to speak with his supervisor.
Unfortunatly this charge caused an overdraft in my account and now im stuck with an overdraft fee. I am goin to dispute the charge fully with my bank, hopefully get a full refund. I also plan on going after sony for the overdraft fee. lol wish me luck!
Worse part is, i dont even play eq2, but because there was no game cards anywhere in town, had to use my credit card for someone else.

It's unfortuate these things are happening.

When you cancel your account, you can also contact the credit card company and direct them to not make payments to that particular company.

So when the payment request from SOE comes in, it will get bumped back.
