Color of NameFollow

I have been trying to find a reference for this everywhere and just cant put my finger on one.

The name of my character up in the area that has health power and concentration slots...the name appears to change its color every so often. I verified this by talking to others and found they had different color names as well. And I mena the letters themselves are different colors. Mine is currently a light red. One of my friends has one that is Yellow and her husband's is white.

Any clue what this symbolizes?
