re-activatingFollow

#1 May 16 2005 at 10:08 PM Rating: Decent
ok I left EQ2 a while back after I had some issues with my own PC trying to run it. Now I have fixed my problems and would like to re-activate my account. I tried once to just start a fresh one and was, of course, told my CD key could only be used once. Now I'm trying to find a way to re-activate my old account, any help would be welcome.

Did you try logging in with your old station name and password? This might get you to a link to the subscription page and give you an option to re-activate. I am not sure this will work, but I seem to remember when my subscription had expired with EQ1 that it gave me a message that the subscription had expired with the option to renew it. The other option would be to call customer service.

You should be able to use your own account. If its been more then 90 days yoru charactors might be deleted, but if you know the username/password it should still be good.

I think thet OP means with a EQ2 reloaded and upon entering the CD key to activate the program, it reports the key has been already used?

According to this post, the CD key is used only once. You should still be able to log on, and your characters are still in the system.

I don't remember if the CD key was required to install the program or activate the account.

That would be good to know, since I plan on upgrading my MB soon, and will require either a new hard drive or format my current hard drive.
