Hi all.
I have opened up a site at EQ2 Markets.com. There you can search the database for in game prices of items. Advanced searches and stock market style charts(coming soon). Help build the database by uploading your store log files ( Over 2000 prices added already!). Database has more than doubled since our public debut 4 days ago and now has over 3800 prices onve over 350 items ( visit the site for current stats). I hope you like it. Leave your feedback and your logfiles.

Edit:
yep that was the problem should be good now.

The above link doesn't work. Think it has to do with the point after 'com'

Ouch! Those colors hurt my eyes. Do you think you could tone down that yellow on that first page just a tad? Are you prices an average across servers? They seem to be very high.

Yes I can do that; I didn't want to make the site too drab. The price that you are getting is an average of all prices in the database. I did discover a problem that was being caused by items that were being purchased in stacks. In the log these items would be reported as a single item so grizzly steak s for 400000 copper (40 gold) were really 20 grizzly steak @ 20000 cp each. Those prices have been fixed and were mostly on some player crafted food items that had been submitted. Now that I know it is there I can catch these before they go into the database (just tried my method on a new uploaded file and it worked well :) ).

Other than that the prices are coming from player logs and are therefore confirmed sales. I do realize that people could send in false information but that is true with any other gathering method as well and is easier to spot in a log file. Also the database, as large as it is with over 9000 prices, is not large or diverse enough for a truly accurate picture of the market. We currently have prices from only 5 servers and only from one side of the market (Freeport or Qeynos). I know on my server, at least the last time I looked; there is a noticeable difference in prices from one side to the other. When the size of the database warrants it, more detailed search options will be available. When you do a search you will see a button where you can get detailed info on that item such as min and max prices. Info will be added here to include things like what servers and markets are covered, most recent price, etc along with stock market style graphs. So keep coming back for the updates.
