berserker weapon choicesFollow

Well not actually a berserker yet, but soon.

I have the options of 2h, 1h/shield and dual weild. I've seen no definitive parse data or an argument that has provided any concrete evidence why one option is superior. Since I will rarely be the main tank in my group (I have a nicely geared, higher level guardian that I group with regularly) I'm curious if any of the more experienced plate wearers out there can give me reason to choose one option over the others, or if theres a reason to steer clear of any of those options.

If you're using procing weapon or have proc spell cast on you. 2h is the way to go for max dps. There is a thread on soe official forum about it. Otherwise if you're not tanking, either 2h or dual wield is ok.

2h slow bit more damage.. but if you get your hands on two really nice duel wield then the stat boost from the weapons will be a great thing to have.

I was using duel wield (2 giant pick axes) for a while with my Zerker until I finished Dragoon K'Naae of the Thexians herritage quest and got myself a Shiny Brass Halberd. Now Im 28, and I can use it. Yay! Really, use both. I have a 2hander, duel wields, plus a 1hander and a shield. Just don't limit yourself to 1 choice, always have your options open.

If you do the PGT quest in TS, it is one of your best DUal wield weapons till past 40. The proc is an increase in power and a ward (max is around 250 power and 400 point proc). This has kept many of my friends alive. A few more levels and I will be able to use mine.

all are nice, my preference is 2h. if u have something with proc, it will prolly be best. go to WWW.combatstats.com and get ur parser now. ive been using that one since lvl 10, and i notice consistantly 1h+ > dual > 2h is the way it breaks down. one thing to consider is how often u use abilities, if u chain cast like i do, then u usually only get on shot in between abilities, so u want the highest one hit weaon u can find, i dont thinbk delay has as much effect as u might imiagine. thats cuz zerks get a hella ton of abilites, not real big ones, just a bunch that i spam all battle long. btw, ssoy with serrated dirk(both heritages) is a great setup. i use a mammoth(from operation greenhood quest) atm, tho working on electricied claymore to upgrade as ive had it a while also consider how long mobs will live, many low hp mobs i use dual, while longer battles i use 2h. good luck to ya and /cheer the zerk

ACK, those arrows are reversed, meant to be 1h+shield < dual < 2h. another thing to consider is zerks have really high str, so max damage of weapon is more important than if u are a rogue or something where lowest damage is important because of str differences,

dual wield all the way. 2 Fast dual wield weps with 10.1 damage rating will do more dps then a 2h with a 23 damage rating. why you ask? simple, when you miss with the 2h, its 2 seconds or so til you can hit again, if you miss with one of your Dual wields then you hit for about 10 immediatly after then 1.5 seconds later you get more swings in, this is especialy sweet with zerker since when me go berserk our attack speed increases making the dual wields swing almost constently.

i,ve ran several parcers and 2h has always put out more dps

i even ran my 2h heart reaver against some 2h procing blades i have and the "heart reaver" kicks ***.......has a 1.9 delay on it....not to shabby in my book.

have used duel wield alot and tried all different types of parcer combinations and it just doesnt cut it up against 2h in my book.
