Carpenters are rare on my server as well. I guess it is because there is not a huge demand for them.

I was actually doing /who all [profession] commands the other day because I was bored...:)
Least played fighter(on my server at least): Bruiser (there were fewer than 15 when I checked)
Least played priest: Defiler (maybe 20 at most)
Least played mage: Coercer (fewer than 15)
Least played scout: Dirge (fewer than 15)
So either bruiser, coercer, or dirge.

I haven't checked tradeskill in a while...I seem to recall weaponsmith not being plentiful. Neither is carpenter.

Yeah I'd say bard in either of their professions. Sony not only nerfed bards, they took a bat riddled it with nails and bits of glass and all took turns beating the crap out fo the bard class. Harsh? Yes but duely deserved. I played a bard in EQ and that was my most favorite class. We could do just about anything. I started a bard in beta on EQ2 and it just went to crap from there. Now bards or a weak rogue that can't do anything but add their little bit of damage. Now that's my take on the bard class. Please correct me and inform me if you know or think otherwise.

Little side not about carpenters.... after a little update today they have take away pretty much all furniture from npc merchants.. so if you want stuff for your house to reduce status or just look good you will have to go to a carpenter..

yea i was thinkin it was bards, i wanted to make one but its like impossibal to find one to ask about it. dirges seemed pretty good, i wanna play one because i was a Bard on EQOA (going gypsy) and a Bard on EQ1 and they were both really fun and had a lot you could do, unlike rouges that just do damage 24/7 with nothin to it.(or at least thats how it is on EQOA)

For the record, bards on EQ2 are not like bards in EQ1. No ridiculously fast speed song (though dirges can get a nice speed song at level 30), no expert pulling skills, no kiting, no twisting. You just use your concentration slots well, and do some combat arts. The one thing I really miss from EQ1 is the fun I had playing my bard and being constantly moving.
