Well I played a few of the beta events. It's a pretty pretty game. I have it on preorder so my copy is waiting for me but my current financial portfolio is not up to par until payday this week so as soon as I get that I'm going to get it.

1. The grapphics in GW are better than EQ2... by a lot.
2. The system requirements are lower than EQ2... by a lot.
3. It is NOT an MMPOG. It is more like Baldures Gate online. With un-hackable characters. It is fun... but there is no persistant world.
4. There are a lot fewer items than an MMPOG.
5. There is only 1 playable race and limited variations in apperance.
6. There is a primary quest... each part of which gives you access to more of the world. As you progress you are allowed larger and large groups. At first you are only allowed 2 people in a group... then 4... then 6... etc... This is problomatic for guilds trying to move to the game.
7. There isnt really a crafting system. There are about 3 components for the most complex items... and you simply collect them and go to the "Crafting guy" and get the item. You basically just buy it using something other than gold.
8. Supposedly the PVP really makes the game. I haven't tried that yet.
