Small, Family-Friendly GuildFollow

(Admin...if this post is inappropriate for this forum, please delete and accept my apology. Where would the more appropriate place be? Thanks.)

Foundation is designed as a place for adults and their spouses and/or kids to enjoy EQ2 in a mature, wholesome environment. Single adults who desire a family-friendly environment are also welcome. Even power-gamers are welcome if this guild suits their needs. But there is no minimum level, hours-per-day, or other such criteria. The goal is to have a group with similar game interests, to have fun with no pressure, and to assure families and friends a compatible EQ2 environment. Check us out at: http://foundation.eq2guilds.org
If this sounds like Foundation might be the guild for you, email me at: lije44@yahoo.com

By the way, we're not hard-core, but we still consider ourselves die-hard! Foundation is a level 11 guild right now, and we plan to keep movin' on up!

You might consider listing your server, that would help a ton.
I assume this isn't a cross-server type organization, but if it is, you should state that as well.

More info is good.

Najena is the server. :)

Our web site in on the SOE EQ2players site, as are our forums. My signature has a couple links.

You may have seen, as you adventure around, there are those folks that like to spam the /ooc or /shout channels. Some are annoying while others are outright offensive. I know my ignore list grows by a few names every week.

When you join a guild you don't really know all the folks, their mannerisms, attitudes, play style, or general background. You may also find out that the goals and leadership of the guild is not what you hoped for.

Some forums can degrade into pointless flames and present things that parents don't want their kids to see.

Realizing that parents that play may have children that play, we understand the need to have an environment that is safe from spammers, attitudes, vulgarity, etc.

That is what Foundation is...a family-friendly place for adults, parents and kids. In Foundation you will know that you have similiar interests and problems. If you've ever had to raise a teenager, you know what I'm talking about. :)

Our forums, although open, are watched closely and kept clean. Although not flashy, they are well organized and we maintain links, opinions, crafter info, and lists. We respect privacy and won't "dig" for info. We are protective of our environment, though.

We watch our guild chat channel closely also, but we've never had a problem with flames or spam.

When we adventure, we check with our guildmates to see if anyone needs help with a quest, mob, or just getting around. If you've ever camped Bloodtalon, again you know what I'm talking about. :) We have folks that range from level 11 to 40+, so there's always activity in many zones.

We have an alliance with a similiar family-friendly guild, and we frequently group with them.

We have crafters that make stuff for free or cost of materials. And with the new mail system, face-to-face exchanges are no longer needed. I frequently mail stacks of harvested Tier 3 things to our crafters. I also like to mail "surprise" gifts (in the form of armor, weapons, items, or cash) to guild-mates.

We are dedicated to advancing our guild level, but at a casual pace. We're currently level 11 and making slow but steady progress to 12. Our Patrons have done several Heritage quests, I have a few in the final stages.

If you are looking to only group with guild-mates, you may not find that here. We are a small guild and folks are spread across several time zones (primarily in central US), so we either get pick-up groups or solo. But if we have several Foundation folks on, we'll group up and have some fun.

What you won't find at Foundation:- Attitudes or hostility.
- Flames in chat or forums.
- Hard-core play.
- Requirements to be somewhere for a mandatory meeting or raid.
- Raids for uber gear.

What you will find at Foundation:- Safe guild chat channel and forums.
- Family-friendly place.
- Pleasent company.
- Casual players.
- Relaxed environment.
- Home cooking. :)

So if you think Foundation is what you are looking for, e-mail Griz or give us a "Hello" in the forums. :)
