is there a spell at level 22 or earlier to get a pet to follow and fight with you? because somebody in my guild said there was and i want to know for sure

I'm a level 23 Mystic and never heard of any pets. Could you elaborate please?

EQ1 shamans got pets...but I'm very nearly positive EQ2 shamans do not. The only classes that get useful, fighting-type pets are summoners. There are several classes that get fun spells that grant a "pet" that follows them, but that's about all it does -- no fighting.
