Status points - do they move guilds with you?Follow

#1 Apr 29 2005 at 1:58 PM Rating: Decent
I have some 10000 status points racked up in my guild, but it looks like it may dissolve soon. If I join another guild do my points go with me, if they make me a patron?

And just out of curiosity, if they do, does that become a factor in whether you are made a patron in a guild, is anyone here an officer of a big guild, would that be a consideration?

I realize I don't really have that many points yet, but I'm just curious.

So my questions are:

1. Do points go with you from one guild to another?
2. If you aren't a patron and you earn points, and then become a patron, do the points you earned while you weren't a patron suddenly show up, or do you only get status while you are a patron?
3. Do guilds decide to recruit members based on your status points, or do they use your existing status points as a factor in deciding to make you a patron?

I'm sure the answers are out there, but I haven't had time for an exhaustive search, and my brief search turned up almost nothing useful! Thanks for any info provided.

1 your points are yours
2 guilds get points from patrons starting from the point at which they become patrons.

I had status points in my first guild, which pretty much died so I left and joined another guild. I started up in the new guild with 0 status. Any status I earned since joining has shown up. Are there other criteria for determining whether your status moves with you?

I did not lose any of my personal status.

I am definitely not in the top 12 in my new guild, if that matters.

This was already answered - but I will clarify a little. Your personal status points stay no matter what. If you are removed as a patron from a guild, your guild status points reset (even if you didn't leave the guild)

Personal status and Guild Patron status are two different things. The amount of Guild Patron status you earn is a % of the personal status you earn when you do a writ or heritage quest. If you do writs/hertiage, and later become a patron, your guild will not get a retro boost in status.

Actually, my guild does not look at what you have done in that way at all. HOWEVER, we have started having problems with people just wanting to join our guild (currently guild level 16) so they can earn status, get a horse, and then leave. We are seriously considering restricting people to recruits until we are sure this is not their intent.

My guild is level 16 also and we have a trial period of around 6 weeks. Seems like a sensible thing to do.
