Warlock BetrayalFollow

Warning: Possible noob question...

I do not have EQ2 yet, but i plan on becomming a dark elf warlock. I think i want to betray to qeynos. Are there any negitive aspects about being a DE Warlock in Qeynos...aside from going through the quest? Are there any perks? Would it even make sense to betray? I would appreciate any help. Thanks
