what is the best race as far as AC and HP when being (or trying to be) a MT. and i mean right from the get-go not like miles down the road when you have worked the hell out of your toon.

If you are in Qeynos is Barbarians.
If you are in Freeport it is Ogres for more Strength and Trolls for more Stamina.
If you are in Freeport it is Ogres for more Strength and Trolls for more Stamina.
For best race for tanking, I would suggest go with a race with the most defensive racial trait to give you a little bit of edge in tanking. Strength and Stamina are easier to make up than defense. On Qeynos side, Human has 2 +3 defence traits. On Freeport side, Iksar has +3 defense trait where as troll has none. Ogre just like human has 2 +3 defensive racial trait.
I hate freeport, its to dark and EVIL. =) i was a dwarf and it was pretty fun but i was just wondering because i was thinking of makin a zerker or gaurdian.

I agree with Zorkk. When you said from the get go, I took you quite literally. I was assuming you were talking about pre-level 10. But in the long run, Troll's are more defensive due to their special choices.
