Well through 4 years of EQ1, I read a ton of *best tank* threads and as a warrior enjoyed them all and learned a lot.

All these threads here are very educational also, so keep up the good work fellow posters, and keep on postin' Smiley: grin

The fun thing about these games is that no one ever knows everything, there's always something more to learn.

Actually, you are un-true. You go up against red heroic mobs, and I will guarantee you, a Guardian/Zerker is gonna tank better than a Monk/Bruiser. They didnt make all tank classes the same, they simply balanced them. Where brawler types lack in mitigation due to wearing light armor, they make up for it with higher avoidance, however, when going up against tough mobs, avoidance doesnt make as much difference. Crusaders on the other hand, wear the same armor as the Warrior sub-classes. The difference here is the lack of taunts they get. Crusader types cannot hold aggro as well as Warrior types. What it breaks down to is a simple matter of type.

Warrior subclass can tank anything.
Crusader subclass make great off-tanks
Brawler subclass are more DPS than tank.

Actually, YOU are un-true. Ask Jezebel, lvl 50 Brusier. Tanked the Raid encounter in Firemyst gully AND Zarvonn's tower. I perosnally have tanked Tundra Jack twice. I am a 49 monk. And I promise you, for all three of those encounters they were MORE than simply red ^^.
