Is it possible to get Guild Status for Trade skills?
As a semi-newb, I remember when I was a total newb, I read, or was told, or heard that you can get Guild status from some tradeskill activities. I had also been told there is no way to get guild status by trade skilling.
Which is true?

Sorry, only city writs and Heritage quests can give guild exp.
Tradeskill quests can give Tradeskill Society exp.
One of the few tradeskills that impact guild status is a carpenter. They can craft furniture that will reduce the cost for a guild house. The better the furniture, the lower the cost.

Tutan is mistaken. Just like City adventure writs (kill X mobs) you can get city tradeskill writs that earn guild status. They ask you to make 10 shaped items based on your tradeskill level. I've done three of them for the Ironforge Exchange in Qeynos. For tier 3 carbonite weapons I got about 1650 status points each which translated to a total of 500 or so guild status.
Tutan is thinking about Tradeskill Society quests you get from the person behind the desk (harvest for wholesaler society or make items for others), they give points that help level the society (so they offer more items on the society merchant), but not your guild.

In Qeynos you go to NQ to the Ironforge Estate. Behind the building is a crafting society trapdoor. The lady behind the desk gives Tradeskill writs.
In Freeport, the Coalition of Tradesfolk is in West Freeport near the East Freeport zone line, in the little tradeskill doorway (you know, the little basement entrance thingy).
I am glad I was able to confirm this... I will spend more time getting these tradeskill quests done now that I know that they are guild status generators.
