What is the minimum amount of people needed to create and maintain a guild?

6 to create it. As far as maintaining it, I suppose it only requires one person, but it will be a very, very, long and difficult process to level a guild by yourself. All of the experience you gain from heritage quests and writs will be divided by 12.

Considering how much effort it takes and how long it takes for large and active guilds with 12 dedicated patrons doing quests and writs to gain level 20 or 30, I cannot begin to imagine how long it would take one person. If he did nothing but heritage and writ quests for a year, I doubt he would still attain guild level 30. Keep in mind that status degrades over time, so in effect it would be an uphill struggle.

But what would be the point? Make some friends and keep making friends and then start one or join an already active one.

Meldrick's avatar is not appropriate for a gaming board which has many younger visitors. This is not the place for soft ****.

I disagree. While his avatar is not in the best of tastes, he is a paying customer and his avatar reveals nothing that 7 year old kid in a supermarket regularly sees when he walks by a rack of magazines, including the women's magazine Cosmopolitan, or anything he would see at a typical beach anywhere in the world.

Your efforts would be better spent, focused, on changing society, rather than a single poster on this message board.

Kalli,

A few things. First, it was just a comment based on the shocking fact that I think I can see *whisper* nipples on that avatar... and yeah, younger kids do come to these forums.

Secondly, it wasn't a rant, it wasn't an attack, just a comment. Noone's trying to 'change' Meldrick. I'm sure he/she's a heckuva person.

We all know this, of course you're right about that... not to mention what's on TV these days. I myself have a young child and I worry about inappropriate things in the mainstream quite often as it relates to his young mind and easily shaped perceptions of his world. That isn't what I was talking about here... it was merely a comment.

As for efforts better spent changing society rather than a poster, as I said previously... not trying to change anyone. Only person anyone can change would be themselves. However, I do have a right to voice my opinion on matters, and I do this quite often, as I'm sure you can tell. Smiley: lol

IMO, society changes take place one person at a time. It all begins with each of us individually. And as far as I can tell, the collective majority makes up the society standard.
As to the issue about what's publicly displayed in our society, it's not gonna change and I know this. Doesn't mean I won't have a few comments along the way ;)

By the way, I very much enjoy your posts and active contribution to this forum! Keep up the nice work :)

Cheers
