Does INT or WIS affect tradeskills?
In EQ1 I know that INT made a huge difference in skill-ups (despite all SOE's lamenting to the contrary).
Is this the case here?

This is a good question. I have done a lot of reading across the message boards of various sites, the in game help menu, the manual, and the strategy guide, and I cannot recall ever seen anything that addresses this question that I have had as well.

Stats will affect your tradeskilling for purposes of power. Your primary class stat (Int for Mages, Wis for casters,ect..)increases your overall power pool, so you will have more power for TS buffs while tradeskilling. Other than that, I have seen no evidence that stats help with any particular tradeskill.
I could be wrong, but it would be strange if they did matter. Anyone can be any tradeskill class, so those Ogre scholars would be kind of screwed if Int made a huge difference.

That's interesting... This may be a little off topic, but I thought Wisdom determined power pool for Paladins. Somewhere... I think the strategy guide, it says Strength is the primary attribute and Wisdom the secondary attribute. If Wisdom does not determine power, not only have I been buying the wrong equipment, but what is the purpose of the secondary attribute?

I think you're correct there... I believe Pallys can be considered as one of the WIS caster classes, (along with all the priest classes).
The finger wigglers are INT casters and the priests are WIS casters. Since Pallys are kind of a priest/warrior hybrid, it seems logical to me that they are WIS casters on that side of their character.
If I'm wrong in this, it wouldn't be the first time...
