Pondering...Follow

#1 Apr 12 2005 at 1:47 PM Rating: Decent
Hello all, I'm looking for some feedback from the EQ2 community. I recently won an EQ2 collectors edition and am pondering whether I should play or sell it on ebay or something. I'm leaning towards playing it, and leaving the mmo I'm playing at the moment (L2).

What do you guys think about EQ2?

I appreciate any responses...thanks!

There are already many threads here that discuss pro's and con's of the game. For example the "EQ2 or WOW Which is better?" thread here about halfway down this page. Do some searching, you'll find it.

I'll briefly say, if you like L2, stay with it. I don't play it, so I can't speak for it.

EQ2 is fun, but with all new games it's going through it's share of patches and fixes. It is rich in quests and graphical ability.

Selling on Ebay would get only $50-$100 or so. You should install EQ2 and play for yourself. Make a class you like and play for a few days - that should get you to at least level 11, if not higher. Then you will have first hand knowledge and make an informed choice.

It may be the best decision you make.

Good luck!

Thanks Tutan...
That's some good, sound advice. I realize that the package comes with a month free of play, so there's my answer.

Thanks again and GH!

Yep. Since you got the game for free, why not use the free month you get with it? If you don't like it, all you did was waste a small amount of time, which is really the point of an mmo, right?

One thing I forgot to add, you can download the free Trial of the Isle and play the tutorial/newbie portion of the game. That should give you a feel for the look and mechanics.

Remember that the IoR is the beginning zone, and most of the game content is after you leave the island. So there is much more waiting for you!

Good luck!
