Im working on a tradskill quest for a merchant and she wants me to get tuber strands I dont know where to find them ? I know its a root right and im level 12 .
If you are evil you can get them in Common lands. they are from roots I believe

For good toons there in Antonica.
There are tons of tuber strands in Antonica and if I'm not mistaken, I got lots of them in the Forest Ruins too. Pshhh for a long time I avoided harvesting that kind of node bc I got SICK of always getting them.
Antonica and Commonlands only... There are roots in forest ruin but they are plain old tier one roots... as opposed to tier two tuber strands. You are, however, correct when you say there are tons of them. Two of my favorite spots are; 1) between Sayer's Cabin and Archers Wood and 2) near the Oricle Griffin Tower.
Roots are always in demand because they are used to make Washes Oils and Resins in each tier.

Guess I spent too much time on elm strongboxes and not enough time at the chem table, or I would have known that. LOL

Currently on my server, (Toxxulia), tuber strands are going for between 35 & 50c each. That works out to about 7 - 10 s per stack.
I often have to buy them since I can never seem to forage enough to keep up with all the WORTs I have to make.
It seems like I'm going through almost 8 stacks each of Stroma Oil, Stroma Resin and Stroma Wash per week between my woodworker and my tailor. I'd say I am currently spending two partial crafting sessions, (of more than an hour each), per week, just in the chem lab cooking up WORTs.
The alternative, (buying the WORTs), is unacceptable since they are going for about 1.5 silver per unit and 30 silver a stack is more than I wanna pay!

That's sweet of you but I'm doing ok... In fact, after a scavenging orgy in Antonica last night, I ended up with about 5 stacks of tubers along with tons of other good stuff. I even found 5 glowing items! Yay me!

On Oggok, tuber strands sell for around 50cp each...on the Freeport side. In Qeynos, they sell for 1cp easily. On Oggok at least, Qeynos is far more populous than FP.
So you could probably make a fortune just by buying them from the black market broker and reselling them on the Freeport broker...

Tuber Strands are from the Zone Called Thundering Stepps. Look for the ROOT Looking things on the ground around the Centaurs area. They are called Mesquite (something) Traps.. or something like that.. Look for the name Mosquite...or Mesquite.. Anyway.. they are there.. and Tuber Strands on Mistmoore are only a few copper each. So there ya go.. safe foraging!
