ok i'm a mage and i'm doing the mage training quest part 2. but i'm only lvl 8 and to fight the mob i need to finish the quest, i need to rasie my lvl were is the best place to do that around the good city, don't remember it's name. any advice would be helpful. thanks

at lvl 8 around Quenos. goto Oakmist forest and kill spiders and bears. they will take you to lvl 12 then do big bears there until 15. can do it in a day easy.
DO visit the scribes and upgrade all your spells to Apprentice II at least [it's < 40 copper per spell, not even a single silver] or Apprentice IV or Adept I. [15s -> 1g each, for level 1-10 spells]
I have Adept III Lightning Burst and Static Pulse and I can actually kite white, 4-mob groups. I could be saving for a horsey but... it's only a few gold and I'm afraid of horsies.

Also look into Down Below. Do as many quests as you can stand. You'll get exp and some coin.
Go to the Wholesale Trader and shop at the broker for spells. You will find some nice upgrades for 20s-1g.
In North Qeynos, the broker is in a building just north of the claymore.
