Anyone have the numbers of people on each server in EQ2 and EQ1 ?

With all the server mergings in EQ1 it makes me wonder if I should just quit EQ1 now and restart EQ2.

But if there is a decline in EQ2 server pop as well then I guess I would just stay put and ride out the storm in EQ1.

I dont have exactly the right numbers, but I feel confident saying that the EQLive population is shrinking (for the first time in its history it is losing overall subscription numbers) and the population of EQ2 is growing and will only continue to do so for the next while...

You're playing based on population? I understand it's good to have others around, but I would think someone would play because they like a game.

Don't "go with the crowd". Play what you like.

Good Luck

I think the point many people make about server population is that if you are the type of person that likes to group, its very hard to be on a server with low population.

Such an individual is looking for servers with the most people to have the best chance to get groups. This is a perfectly reasonable question.

If you didn't like to solo, and didn't know anybody playing EQ2, wouldn't you like to be on a server where you can find groups?

Whereas he's been playing EQ1, and thus knows some people and can get some groups (presumably) so if EQ2 is going to be a hard place to find groups, he'd rather stay with EQ1.

On my server (Lucan), I'm still seeing new people all the time. And not just alts, either. It may seem to a newer person that the servers are a bit more empty, but that's just because the player base is getting "older", and a lot more people are now playing in the higher level zones. (I'm not one of them, my highest is just level 23, lol)

I have to admit, I was suprised at the amount of server merges EQ1 is doing now. I kind of figured merges were coming, but I never thought it would be this many at once and so soon.
