Ummm... Nevermind.

I just read through the first page or so of the "EQ2 or WoW Which is better" thread. There doesn't seem to be a lot of arguments for EQ2.

I downloaded the "Trial of the Isle" but it's telling me 9 hours or so to update. I think I'll cancel and go buy WoW.

After Lineage I, Lineage II, Star Wars Galaxies & FFXI... I've been off MMO's for about 4 months.

I think it's time to come back.

My question is simple,

EQ2 or WoW and why?

I'm also posting this in the WoW forum so I can get feedback from both sides.

Thanks in advance for any advice offered.

I think people in general are pretty tired of these types of threads now. So I would suggest that you read a bit more than the first page of the existing EQ2 vs WoW thread.

But it will mostly be different opinions and no-one except you can actaully decide what you will like. So buy both games and try them out if you really want to make an informed decision.

Or buy one and if you like it, continue playing it. If you don't like it, quit playing and try the other one. It is just two games.

There's actually a ton of threads discussing this topic, just scroll down a bit, they're easy to spot.

Go back to the EQ2 vs WoW thread.

Don't want to play because of a 9 hour download? Do you expect WoW to be patch/update-free?

You are an idiot, you will fit in well with them over at WoW, have fun!

hehe. my Final Fantasy XI download patch was like 5 hours after I bought it. and that's on a good connection! :)

Umm... yeah I really don't wanna start two threads on this since one already exists for EQ2 vs WoW, but from what I've read, one of those is definitely more popular... but with my free time I'm stuck with EQ2 for now, heh.

curious what you thought of Lineage, btw. That was the first mmorpg I wanted to buy, but the sales guy convinced me to get FFXI. if you want, private email me at feelie75@yahoo.com, if not, cool... cya!
