Can you no longer buy low-level shaped items from the vendor in the tradeskill houses? its been a few months since i've played

Yep, they took them off the vendors, since everyone can now make their own subcomponents with the new books (apothecary, geomancy, timbercraft, weaving). (You have to use twice as much fuel as normal though.)

Kinda crappy for the newbie starting people into the artisan crafts. They either gotta make resins and washs themselves, or pay a alchemist tons of money for it. Oh my server alchemist are trying to charge more for tier 1 washs and resins then the tier 2 and 3 costs.

I am curious though, what reason is there to level your tradeskill society up? Before it would allow you to purchased shaped quality goods from various tiers. Does it do anything now?

Actually, it is helpful for a new crafter to have to make everything him/herself. Since nothing is grayed out to a low level crafter, everything is worth experience and thats always a good thing.

Also, WORTs don't cost double fuel, (only the more involved sub combines do), and after you get the hang of it, making WORTs can be kinda theraputic!
