Anybody else had this problem? I've got three stacks of crab meat in my inventory but the baked crab recipe says I have none. Any clues on how to fix it would be appreciated.
You possibly have the wrong type of crab meat. I think the recipe needs the type of crab meat you get from fishing and not the type you loot off corpses.
Could be a bug though.

If you do have the correct type of crab meat, try re-logging. OR, reposition the stacks of crab meat. Move it from one bag to the other, etc. If ANY ONE of those little pieces of meat have been in your overflow slot, at least once in its life... recipe won't read it until it's been moved around. :P

Aaahhh.....thanks for the advice guys.....I'll try both your suggestions
Also try clicking on 'Change' in the ingredients list. If you don't see your item listed, the recipe is genuinely not recognizing the item.

Well...still no luck after trying the suggestions above. The recipe is:
Baked Crab (Culinary, Level 14)
1 Crab Meat
1 Packet of Spice (Artisan, Level 3, Keg (Stove))
1 Salts
1 Pepper
1 Walnut kindling
1 Mulberry kindling
The crab meat I have comes from killing freshwater crabs in the commonlands. Also some from brine sifters in Sunken city and from sludgewater hatchlings in Thieves Way. Altogether 4 different types (They're all called crab meat but won't mix in my inventory)

Doh!....I just found another type of crab meat which works. This one has an icon the same as deer meat etc. The other four types I have all look like field maple icons. Stupid system....or, more probably...stupid player!

Heh, ya. Crab meat that comes from, um, CRABS can't be used in the recipe. Have to fish for it, like Bluie said. Somehow, I remember using dropped crab meat once a long long time ago... but never could again, so :P

There seems to be a bug, I notice it only when I make an item and it gets put into overflow because I have no room. For some reason this invalidates the item until you either zone or log. Quick fix is to zone out and then come back in. That normally works for me.
