Problem with frapsFollow

I recently reinstalled windows on a new hard drive and I reinstalled the program Fraps as well. Now the install file is the same one that I used on my old gard drive and it worked great. Now after putting Fraps on this hard drive I cant seem to keep the program open. The program is supposed to opne to your taskbar by default which it does but when I go to click on it the icon disapears as if it was never running. I was wondering if there is any kind of setting or control center which controls which programs are allowed to run. If you have any other suggestions please let me know. Thanks .
