Problem with frapsFollow

I recently reinstalled windows on a new hard drive and I reinstalled the program Fraps as well. Now the install file is the same one that I used on my old gard drive and it worked great. Now after putting Fraps on this hard drive I cant seem to keep the program open. The program is supposed to opne to your taskbar by default which it does but when I go to click on it the icon disapears as if it was never running. I was wondering if there is any kind of setting or control center which controls which programs are allowed to run. If you have any other suggestions please let me know. Thanks.

Hmmm you actually may wanna uninstall it and re-install it. It sounds like something is conflicting with it, also you may wanna check an updated version is out and double check your direct x drivers, that helped me out alot.

I just couldn't get Fraps to work.. since I had no desire for movies just screenshots I found a program called Clipper that does an excellent job.

however, I found the screenshot command in EQ2 to be excellent.. I changed my file output to Targa instead of Jpeg for quality reasons.. and it's wonderfully pretty. I still have clipper installed for other games though.

if you don't need to capture for making vids.. clipper is great for screenies, but if you need vids I dunno what to tell you.
