Need help With Apprentice SpellsFollow

#1 Mar 10 2005 at 10:55 AM Rating: Decent
Hey everyone. I just started playing EQ2 and this is my first EQ game period. I bought all my App II spells. Except for a couple. Now how in the world do I get App III. I see broker, and players craft it. But how would I go about finding out who and so forth.

And also since I am still currently low lvl, I love the animations of the different spells. When I get in higher lvl do the spell animations change(even if same type just stronger spell) when you get up in lvl.

I am probably going to be a wizard. Is there any wizards that wouldnt mind giving some advice :) about anything.

easiest way in to go to a broker and put in the word apprentice to search on.

then below that you can change your filters

by default the filters are set to a min con level of grey and a max con level of red.

change the max level to orange.

by doing that it will filter out ever app that you can not use do to level/class restrictions.

BUT...

you could always do tradeskills and become a sage. this will let you make your own spells if you like.

lucky for me a friend is a sage so I get all mine app4 spells free.

PS - you do not have to upgrade to every level of a spell. You can go from app1 to app4 or app1 to adept1 or app2 to master1 or... well you get the point

The broker can be found in Wholesaler Instance of tradeskilling and in merchant buildings in some city zones. You don't have to find the player-seller, just buy straight from the broker.
You may want to consider crafting your own, maybe make an alt that is strictly an Artisan.

From what I've seen, animations remain the same regardless of the upgrade, but different spells will have different animations. Honestly, there is not that much variation considering the large amount of spells. Bard spells are the coolest to watch. :)

To go along with sbs's post, also try to get into a guild. Most have dedicated crafters that make good items for guild-members. They may only ask that you do some harvesting for them.

Thanks for all the help. I am in a guild already but I am at work and I figured I would try to get some info before I got home to play.
Thanks for everything+-

I don't think the spell animations change, at least not from app 1 to adept 1. The visual of pet spells does change though. Like the tellurian recruit is a bettle until you hit adept 1 then it becomes a spider.

If you get into Adept 3, or master 1 they might change. I have yet to ever see a master spell, and the only adept 3 I have gotten is a pet spell.

If you ask in the auction chat channels you can usually find people selling the lower level app 4 spells fairly cheap. Alot of times your better off not buying the app 2 spells and just going straight to app 4, or maybe even adept 1 if you can find them.
