Satiation vs LevelFollow

Does a level 10 High Satiation product give the same amount of regen as say level 20 High Satiation product?

For example would a low level 20-stack give the same regen as a high level 2-stack?

Thanks!

Pre-Patch when I tested this, you could only gain the benefit up to your teir. So a level 15 player could only use up to teir 2 drink effectivly, anything higher would perform as if it was teir 2.

I have not tested this since the patch, but I do not belive this has been changed.

Also, viewed from the other direction, homemade tier 1 food & drink is still green to my lvl 18 & lvl 19 toons and still seems fo give them full regen. I had switched to tier 2 food & drink, (which is yellow to me), for my soon-to-be ranger but it didn't seem to yield any better regen so I switched back.

I am a level 26 provisioner, and have done a bit of testing with my home-made food and drink. Every recipe I've tried so far (and that's most of them up to my level) is "high" satiation. So I haven't been able to test player-made "average" vs. player-made "high".

I have done a bit of testing of food/drink. Basically, both the tier and the satiation value affect performance of the food/drink. That is, T3 "high" > T2 "high". Player made "high" satiation is almost as effective as vendor-sold "average" satiation items 2 tiers higher. For instance, T1 player-made high satiation drink regens 72 points of power/tick, T3 vendor-sold average satiation drink regens 75 power/tick (on a mid-30s player). It appears (at this point) that food and drink retain their maximum effectiveness even when they have "gone gray" to the player.

That's all the information I have at this point. As I continue to level up I will attempt more testing.

Hugs,

Dris

All player made food/drink is high satiation. Average is store bought and low is summoned with superior being available only through quest reward.

Didn't they just put a major hit in for using store food, and seriously increased the effectiveness of player made food?

Its interesting to note that you may get full effect from lower teir food. I will have to test this later on, if true I suspect its a bug. After all, you want higher level players to use higher teir foods.

Tho I haven't tried every single recipe that is lower than I am (adventurer), the ones I have tried have had the same results. I am a lvl 28 conjuror, and the tier3(cons yellow) drinks give around 2% more regen than the tier2(cons green) drinks (both player-made). I also tried lvl 20 (tier2) superior satiation drinks vs. tier3 crafted drinks. At lvl 25, regen rate was identical. At lvl 28, regen from crafted is slightly better. ( the superior satiation would regen about 6%, my crafted drink would regen 8% per tick.

This is jess what I've found.. may be wrong, may be right.. either way, I'm a prov, so I'll jess make my tier and be happy!

I was wondering the same. I mean, why both t2 if the t1 stuff will retain it's effect? Hmm. I've been buying T2 (22 Pally) because I wasn't sure though.

Lately all the food from the broker cons red oddly, I filed a bug for it. It's still usable though if you can normally use it, just 'cons' incorrectly in the broker listing.

I usually just buy Coffee for 5s, or Orange Beer for 5s-8s. Though lately I've been finding some stuff with High sat but lesser duration for 1s and 2s.

Does the "Alcohol Tolerance" skill help any? Too bad I can't transfer real life skills into the game, heheh..

I'm finding all sorts of errors in item con colors all over the game since the last big patch.

I expect they'll correct that soon enough.

did some testing the other night on gren con High satiation versus blue con High satiation. I don't remember the exact numbers, but it DID make a difference. I think I gain like 43 power per tick with the grey drink, and 57 per tick with the blue drink. something like that. Anyhow, so it seems it's working somehow how they intended, heh. I'm now level 20 and level 30 drinks con orange to me now so hmm I'll try some of those out soon.
