Yesterdays patch message stated that Tainted Carress was fixed and that it now works as intended by summoning a Tainted Essence (% chance per attack) which is used in summoning the ShadowKnight pet.
I knew of this problem of it not working correctly, however, despite the patch notes I have not had any luck in obtaining any tainted essences. I was basically wondering if other SKs have noticed this, or if it was just a run of bad luck on my part.
I spent 4 hours soloing and casting carress on each mob at least once, and some fights twice. I even soloed mobs with straight melee and no abilities beyond carress.

As far as I can tell its still broke. I think sony just says they fix things to get rid of people who /bug it everyday. After playing EQ for 6 years and now almost 6 months here I don't trust em at all when they say they have fixed anything.
After all they said they made it better (more exp and better drops for solo players) sorry Sony have not seen that eather.
As they have always done they talk the talk but can't walk the walk :P

It was working again last night. At least while I was in RoV wrapping up fishbone heritage. I didn't try it while outside of RoV when we finished.
Yeah they got it working again and made it 10% where it was 5% before so thats a plus
