Spirit Totems! Are they Broken?Follow

Being a Woodworker i dedcided to make some Spirit totems of the Winged Viper. These are supposed to
A: Shape change you and
B: give you mana regen of upto 40 points per tick.

However, when i came to use the Totem, nothing happened, no shape change, no buff symbol, but a charge was used on the totem.

Are these supposed to work or am i doing something wrong i.e it wont stack with a self buff?

Totems have levels with them.. I'm not a WW so not very knowledgeable about them :P
I think rat/bear are t1 or t2, while winged viper/snow bear are t3, and there are more after that.If you aren't the right lvl ( you are either too low, OR too high)[link=null][/link]for that totem, it gives a spell graphic, eats a charge, and does... nothing!
