I've been wondering exactly the same thing. I've never seen one of those before. Then, the other night, I rolled an alt just for kicks, and found one of these.

I have gotten some of these off random goblins in the game (Runnyeye and Condemed Catacombs to be exact) and they are for the goblin language quest. I guess you can't start the language quest till your higher level. Seems kinda silly to have them drop on the isle of refuge if you can't do the quest yet.

So I guess best thing you can do is keep one in your bank and when your higher level you can start it. Don't know what level you can start the quest, I was 30 when I got my first marker. Im sure you can start it before 30.

I can safely say that you must be level 30 to be able to use these Goblin Territory Markers to start the goblin language quest. I got my first marker in Stormhold at level 28 and could not use it then and it still did not work when I hit level 29. Once I hit level 30 I could use it, and after you use it you need to find 7 more to complete the language quest.

they drop like hotcakes in runnyeye, will be easy to get it finished there :)

Goblin Territory Markers have begun dropping on the Isle of Refuge. If they aren't usable until lvl 30, that's a cruel thing to be giving the newbie characters.

It is similiar to the Giant Language quest.

Right click the marker, examine it, follow the prompts and you'll now have a new quest to get more of them. When you get one, you must examine it to get credit.

After they are examined, they sit in your inventory as no-trade, no-value. I detroyed mine once I got a quest ping.

You can get the quest on the Island of Refuge.
I got the quest myself. Its called:
"Claiming the Goblish Tongue"
I have to collect 7 of those markers, then I'm done.
I made a short post on the forums here of it.
