Low population serversFollow

Hi, coming from Lavastorm I'm starting to notice fewer and fewer players in the low level zones in Quenos. I can run through Antonica (pacific time) and see no one. I used once you see lots of people. Also the craftsman guild I'm in is now always empty.

Even TS there doesn't seem to be as many people.

I already know the answers that everyone is leveling up and low population servers are good, but no influx of new players isn't good thing for the economy nor does it help the overall experience, atleast for me.

Am I in the wrong timezone for this server, or is this happening on other servers? I've started a new character on another server, but I'm really a one character person and I invested alot of time to just switch over. I'm sure there isn't a way to change servers with my orig character.

On a side note- I seem to be posting alot of negative things lately but its only because I'm trying very hard to enjoy this game. Everytime I find some thing I like they change it. Now, if I'm stuck on a server that has dwindled down, this is going to suck. I've retired my character from FFXI and think EQ2 is a good fit as WoW seems to be a little too 'casual'(I'm trying to be as polite as possible...lol) from what I hear, though I'm very tempted to check out WoW.

well i know that all the people i know IRL that play are all on my server and we all play about the same time . So , even though it would be a huge coincidence, its possible that numerous diffrent circles of friends are all playing at or around the same time on your server. Also sometimes servers get deemed unofficially as a certain country's server( like in FFXI it seemed like a ton of the JPs played on Fenrir , which just happened to be my server, so getting a group was very difficult )

Might just be luck of the draw, however , I wouldnt doubt it at all if the changes that SoE made recently have driven off pre-existing players in droves (on all servers , probably not just yours).
On najena the ooc and chat channels are constantly filled with people complaining about the changes and saying they are going to leave . So , it may just be that alot of people on your server recently quit or are just taking a break . If so you may find getting a group alot harder :(

That one massive nerf patch really ticked alot of players off, I myself am still sore over it. I find myself not bothering to level my artisan skills any, why bother when nobody wants to buy your armor? I have had tier 2 armor sitting on my trader for under 10 silver each for over a week now, people just won't buy the stuff. I know its not the high end stuff, but lower levels can't use the higher end stuff anyways. Sometimes I can sell chainmail armor at around 8 silver a piece. Considering all the time it takes and combines etc its just not worth fooling with now. Also don't like having to sale my old armor for a mear silver or 2 to a merchant due to having to attune it. I find myself scared to death to upgrade anything unless I think it is a major upgrade. It is one thing to be required to attune tradeskilled armor, but not every single useable piece of armor in the game?

Also since that patch soloing is a huge drag. People could generally solo ^^ green mobs (at least at the lower levels). Now it is near death experiences each time I take on a ^^ green mob, sometimes I don't even win the battle. At the time of that patch my Paladin (well crusader at the time) was level 15. Before that patch I was soloing the crows in the fields with quite abit of ease. The day of that patch, you know the day they made tanks mitigate damage better (sarcasim), It took everything I had to be able to solo the exact same mob. I was also checking there levels, so it wasn't that the mob might have been 1 level higher, they was lvl 12's. I also obviously had all my armor attuned.

Many of the things they advertised Eq2 would be has changed and people are leaving over it.
