Today I found an item I've never seen before on the Isle of Refuge.
A Goblin Territory marker. Looks just like the war plans except when you examine it, your only option is to keep it around until later.
Does anyone have any idea what this item does?

Pretty sure it's for the Goblin Language quest, examine it to start the quest then you have to find a bunch more to complete the quest.
Also recently found the orc language quest which comes from a Smugglers Requisition, found in Zek.

Hrm. The thing that I found odd I guess was it didn't really start a quest. Once you selected the option to put it away and keep it for later, it just closes the dialog box. Think that could be a bug or something?
Where do I get the gnoll language quest?
Gnoll one starts in Black Burrow (maybe other gnolls, but the ones inside BB for sure).
I hunted there alot with my main, and now some with my alt. I have only see the treat totems drop inside chests, but they might also be rare on the gnolls themselves to?

I got one of these (Goblin Territory Marker) the other day too. I examined it expecting it to start a quest... but it did not. It said to keep it... so I kept it.
Is it possible that it will activate later? I was lvl 24 when I got it... I am lvl 25 now.
At any rate, I would like some more information on this too.

I think there is a level requirement to start these type of quests. Not sure what it is for goblins though.

at 34 I got the lauage starter quest
The mobs inside and the ones out front drop the gnoll lang things. Started mine in TS. Went BB and killed in front of BB for 20 min. Ding got gnoll lang np :)

the Goblin Territory Marker quest is attainable at lvl 30.
Barks like a Gnoll quest evidently is gotten in various zones bc I got mine in Antonica at lvl 15 with ease.

You can even get and complete the quest in The Caves on the Qeynos side.

Ok, here is what I found on this recently.
On the Island of Refuge, one of the harder Goblin mobs drop a paper looking thing , and the quest is called:
"Claiming the Goblish Tongue"
You have to examine and then accept on it to get the quest.
You have to get 7 Goblin Territory Markers to complete this quest.
