Durability in the redFollow

#1 Feb 25 2005 at 4:41 PM Rating: Decent
I don't want this to seem like a rant or a whine... it's just that I've noticed something odd in the past couple of nights and wonder if anyone else has experienced it.

Since the end of the TS bonus weekend, I have not had a single pulse where I received a green number in durability. Not one! A few pulses have ended with no change, maybe 10 all together, but the rest have all been red. Until now, I have been quite comfortable in pushing durability through the right side of the pristine bar and holding it there for the duration of the combine!

Here are the details:
On Tuesday night I did about 50 combines before admiting to having a bad night and giving up in disgust, and Wednesday night, out of nesessity, I did another 60 combines. On Tuesday night, about half the items were trivial to me and the other half were easy, (blue). Last night all 3 stacks were trivial combines.

I am a lvl 21 woodworker and the work was done on 3 different machines; woodworking, (I made tier 2 quills), stove, (I made tier 2 sandwiches), and writing desk, (I made tier 2 paper).

All combines were done using level 2 and/or lvl 3 buffs so durability should not have been an issue, yet, I was only able to craft a single item to pristine state in over 100 combines!

Just to make things more confusing, a friend of mine was working last night on pristine tier 2 inks and was having no problems.

Has anyone else seen this kind of anomoly in the last couple of nights?

I dont craft that often , but last night i was making some low lvl app4s for an alt and i did get green ticks , but i noticed that whenever i got a red tick , it was bor both durability and progress. Never just one or the other . So it was either +X +X , or it was -X -X , never -X +X . Was weird , and i was crafting for about 3 hours and it stayed the same . Then when i logged on this morning it was back to "normal" .
Not the same as your situation , but i think the weekend changes to crafting are causing some weird anomalies.

Odd, I have been crafting like crazy and noticed no change. I am still getting the usual results and my +dur +progress ones when I need to take the time for quality products.

Last night I had a hard time making anything that was a sub-component. Consistant durability drops across the board, but when I went to make my finished product I had much better success. Maybe you can scratch it up to a bad night, but maybe something odd is going on. Who knows. We probably won't until the next patch message comes out with a polite apology for the damage that was done during the interim.

I still love crafting though. A few odd anomolies keeps one on his toes.

An update following the weekend - Crafted with two other characters and had no problems reaching pristine and/or maintaining durability in tier 2 tayloring and tier 2 cooking. Logged to "problem" character, went into the TS instance to craft some burlap patterns and had the same trouble as before - every pulse was red for durability.

Is this character cursed? Since the trouble seems limited to just him, what could the problem be? I'm considering /bugging it although I can't imagine what Sony can do about it!
