so is it impossible to solo? or does no one help you when you're in game? i'm an 18 warrior (evil), decent gear, and apparently incapable of soloing. i guess i could kill greens, but to me that's unbearably slow. does anyone have any suggestions as to where to go?

Don't worry I am having the same problem with my Warrior as well. Even some greens where kick'n my ***** I just ended up always LFG when playing my Warrior. The best thing to do in my thinking is to try to get off as many HO's as you can. Some of them can be very effective.

Just 2cp

I have a lvl 17 Crusader and I can solo greens blues and some yellows. I was not able to untill I got really good gear. The thig you need to do is /con and find something that will give you good xp that you can kill and just do the for that lvl. I also use food to make my power and helth regen faster so there is very little down time.

I hope this helps

It's really easy for warriors to solo, but you must always use HO's and keep your gear and skills upgraded. I've solo'd a lot more than grouped on my way to 26. AC is king, that should always be your top priority. Get the very best shield you can find, usually a tower shield for warriors.

Soloing yellows and oranges isn't tough, quite easy actually. Yes, good armour is necessary, keeping your spells as updated as you can (finding them being the hardest part, I still haven't found 2/3rd of my adept spells, or more), but solo mobs are easy.

I got to lvl 26 soloing, fairly slow as I don't play that often, but I only group for mobs that I know I can't take alone and quests require them.

Fighting heroic blue mobs, that's just never a good idea. Solo mobs might not give the best of xp, but combine them with quests and xp should come quick enough.

Warrior is very gear dependant. How well you can solo depends on your gear. Spending in upgrading gear gives much more return than upgrading skills. If lacking fund, just concentrate on upgrading gears. Only upgrade skills after all your gears are yellow or orange. At level 23, can solo 20^^ green con (both melee and caster including healer) with only app1 and app2 skills. Even and blue con (non-caster) are very easy to take down. Casters need to use stun/interrupt skills a lot. Lastly chain HO. Use 2hs or dw for killing mob faster. IMHO 1hs and shield is just too slow for soloing.

I noticed that too, the combo 1H/shield just can't replace the damage done by the 2H (or most likely the dw for warriors). Sure the extra armour is nice, but there's just so little to do with a shield, apart from a slow recovering 'shield advance' for paladins there is no other use for a shield.

Mind you, I haven't seen any higher lvl 1H swords though, quite possible that I change my mind when I hit lvl 40 or so. But at lvl 26, I stick with my 2H. (apart from groups, then I might switch to 1H/shield, but that's something else)

Actually a shield does also provide an additional chance to block as well as the AC.

Have to agree though, a 2 hander is often faster to solo even though I always use 1H and shield for tanking.

Wow...

Very different opinion here.

I'm playing a lvl21 Zerker...with all Blue conning gear except my weap - Skullcrusher (it's orange).

Solo'ing seems better with 1h and shield -- the extra AC makes a difference and the shield combat art disrupts casting (at least I thought it did). It may take a little longer, but you got better odds of surviving the scrap imho.

I use 2hs when I'm in a group with a healer or someone else is meatshielding and taking damage with me.

I only have 2 Adept I CA's. The rest are App I or II - which drives me nuts...but whatever.

I have a 23 Zekrer and I soloed him from lvl 1-18 and grouped off and on from lvl 19-23. I have 1day and 18hours total playing time on him. I do have nice gear and all but 3 of my ablities I have are upgraded to Appt 4 or Adept 1...Other ablities I dont have upgrade yet are the new ones I have got and hadnt had a chance to look for the upgrades yet.

But I didnt have any troubles soloing. You just need to look at what you are fighting. If it is a caster mob you might have touble, if it is just a DPS mob then you should do well.

At the lower lvls after Island of Refuge. I mainly fought solo mobs. Once I hit lvl 13 I was killing group mobs that conned green to me (thats where the good xp started coming in). Now at lvl 23 I fight any solo mob that cons up to yellow and any group mob (try not to get casters) that is green. I like to kill green ^ and ^^ mobs cause the offer the best xp. They are better then a Yellow + solo mob for Xp.

With the Armor and Weapons I have right now I dont have any problems with soloing and when soloing a use Dual Wield to get the most out of my DPS.

I have a mix between Carbonite Armor and AQ armor (AQ Chest and Leggings are better then Carbonite but the rest of the Carbonite armor is better then AQ) and have Gold and Agate jewlery on. You can pick this stuff up fairly cheap now and makes soloing a lot easier. And try and always upgrade your skills...especially your Defense and big hit offense skills.
