Shammy and druid animal formFollow

Dont know how many of you plays a character like Fury, mystic, warden etc..
Anyways, our best buff is the one which puts on an illusion of a lion, wolf etc.

Now, on raids a [animal]form is out of the question.. Takes up way to much space. In DFC raid for instance people have to stay tight together to not get adds. And the orc's there does alot of barrage damage. The buff is needed.

So what can we do?
Well, atm I use my guisemask to become a darkelf. This way I can use my lion buff and still not be in the way of peoples view. On raids I use gnome/halfling petrified eye to get as small as possible.

This does not feel like a good sulotion. I created a wood elf since I wanted to be a wood elf. Not a lion. Sure it was cool when I got it but now I dont find it fun to look just like I did at lvl 20.
Sure I can use my woodelf petrified eye but should I have to pay cash to look like myself? Bones do cost money.

The biggest problem imo though is that you cannot be on a mount while using a illusion. Sure I could click of my buff and darkelf illusion everytime I want to use the mount but IMO I shouldnt need to. As it is now I wont spend pp's on a mount.

IMHO we really really need a /showform command for our illusion buff.

What do you people think? Do you agree? You consider it a big problem? You completly dissagree? A small problem that you really dont care about? Give me you oppinions please!

IMO its a big big problem that needs a fix bad. Not a problem that will get me to quit this awesome game though but still a big problem.

I hope and belive this will be fixed.. Do you?

I agree sony is just lazy on this one I think. There are a few more things worth fixing first. But here is whats stupid, I can't ride the griffen when in skelly form but I can ride it when I am on my horse? Then to top it off if you zone while in skelly, bear, cat form you are still one when you zone in but zone with your horse and you will be recasting your horse? Ok what idot programed that one?

You got a pally horse?
My g/f bought a horse and she dont have to recast it.. When she is done zoning she wont be on the horse but she autoamticly climbs up it.

Ohh.. and thx for reply

I definitley agree that riding the griff should be the opposite. If you're on a mount you should have to put it away to fly but if you are under an illusion you should be able to ride with no problem. Another thing that bothers me with warlocks is when we are under our illusions if we want to click them off there is a huge recast time. But if we zone under the illusion the guise will just drop and we'll be able to cast it again right away.

I think SOE has alot of work to do. I would never dream of quitting this game because of it, as I put up with their crap for a year and a half on EQ1, but it is annoying. First off, they should allow you to remove the illusion from your (insert animal name here)buff, second, they need to have armor dyes like they did in EQ1, if they do already and I just havnt seen them, sorry, but as far as I see it, I dont really like the idea of having a multicolored outfit, I mean, I have blue gloves, brown pants, and a silver BP? Thats just strange. Also, though I like the idea of the /showhood command as all helms except some plate look pretty rediculous, they should have the same command for if I dont want to see my, lets say, sleeves. Anywho, thats my two copper.

I don't know about shammy/druid illusions, but when I zone in Fire Elemental form (as a Conjuror), it drops as soon as I zone.

Even in a group situation, with a couple of lions and a pally who insists on fighting on his horse, it gets pretty annoying, trying to get a good view of what's going on.

If I was a Fury I'd be pretty cheesed off that I had to be in lion form all the time. Vanity is important, we want to look good Smiley: grin

I hope they never introduce dyes to EQ2 though. No more of those fluoro neon clowns please!!
