Soloability Bruiser or MonkFollow

#1 Feb 21 2005 at 7:24 PM Rating: Decent
Thanks for any advice...

Unfortunately when I do get to play my play time is usually limited so being able to solo is very important to me. Finding a good group sometimes takes more time than I have available. I currently have an evil lvl 11 Brawler but am thinking of betraying because I would rather play in the good side. My question is this: If I betray, am I giving up some solo ability? In other words, does a Bruiser solo better than a Monk enough for me to stay in Freeport? (Soloing is more important to me than where I play) Thanks again for any input.

My monk is just about to ding Level 25. I have been soloing about 98% of the time. I don't really see any end in sight. I usually fight against green^^ mobs. I would highly advise you to have all your abilities at App IV or higher and use your HOs whenever you can.

My bruiser is currently 21 and can solo just fine as well. I personally don't think there will be much difference between the two on who can solo better. It would more come down to your equipment and spell upgrades as well as tactics than anything else.

Thanks for the advice guys. People I have talked to in game are telling me that the Bruiser has the slight advantage over the Monk as far as soling. I would love to hear form some mid and higher lvl Monks on Monk solo ability as I am considering Betrayl.

I'm a level 29 Monk and I regularly solo yellow and even (with a little luck) red mobs in EL. You have some downtime between fights unless you bring some powerful food and drink, but its still a great class. I wont knock the bruisers though, I havent tried one myself. Monk is definitely an awesome solo class.

Monks and Bruisers solo equally well, end of story. We also have the exact same spells, just very tiny variations that in the end amount to absolutely nothing. We also both have the +offence/-defence buff as well as the +defence/-offence spell. We both solo equally and we both solo extremely well.
