washes, resins, tempers, fuel, etc...Follow

Does it make that much of a difference if you buy this stuff from the merchant in the tradeskill zone or if its better stuff sold by players? The reason I ask is 'cause the stuff sold by players is quite a bit more expensive than the merchant bought stuff. If there isn't that much difference I don't see why you would buy the player made stuff. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Now fuel. The only fuel I have ever seen was purchased from the merchant. Are there alternate means of getting fuel. As in harvesting them? I have gathering, mining, and trappeing all over 100 right now. Im only a 18 scholar on the way to becoming a jeweler. Once again any help would be appreciated :)

The only component where quality matters is the primary component for the combine. That is the part of the recipe that determines the potential end quality. So unless it is the primary component, use the least expensive items you can get. Maple box needs pristine maple, the other components can all be crude.

If you are an 18 scholar, then make all your own washes, resins etc - cost, then is just fuel. When making your own though, it pays to make pristine, as you then get 4 of the result, for same ingredients.

No other way I know of to get fuel. And make sure you use the cheapest fuel you can get away with, now that they are in tiers.

Not all of the worts are avalible on the crafting hall merchants. The crafting hall has to be lvl 10 in order for it to sell tier II materials. I would imagen it would have to be lvl 20 before selling tier III stuff as well. Point in being, is that since not everyone can get these items then they must seek the next best thing, player made. Being as that is the case then the players are pretty much allowed to charge a greatly inflated price since there is no where else for the buyers to go. Laws of supply and demand.

Actualy anyone can craft WORTS now, and I suggest that everyone do so.. At least if the prices are not reasonable.

Take a look at T5 Worts..

Pre-Patch Tempers went for 10 Silver each, and to make 3 of them cost you about 2 silver in materials.

Now that EVERYONE can make WORTS Tempers are going for 5-7 silver, and cost about 9 silver per combine. While this is still a nice return (15 to 21 silver per 9 invested) its no longer insane. So I will buy tempers in the 5-6 silver range, but if it gets beyound that I will take the exp and cash savings and just make my own. :)
