I need to move fastFollow

#1 Feb 17 2005 at 4:23 AM Rating: Decent
So now they are nerfing my Pally horse from a speed of +32% to +10% I am feeling a little shortchanged and need to figure out a way of getting around quicker. Are there any woodworker-made totems that grant extra speed that anyone knows of?

Cheers

heh... walk, just as we do... but i dont think u should worry so mutch.. infact. pallys and SK's are the only class that gets an fun-spell that does something usefull...

a 10% faster run would make me happy anytime.... =D

I beleave there's a totem called Sprite of the wolf thats increates your speed. The normal price I see on them is 10sp and I beleave they last 30mins.

Quit your whinging - we had a nice USEFUL fluff spell for a while, now it's back to everyone else's level. The envy it attracted did not make it a good deal :)

For speeds try this thread:

Lol. I'm not whinging....I'm just hooked on speed is all. I guess I will stock up on SOW totems until I can afford a proper horse (yeah right!!)

There is no way I'm walking with the plebs after being spoilt for so long :)

I think sony must be the biggest bunch of idots to ever be involved with online gameing!!!! They bata test forever then they run it on test server then they put what ever it is into the game. They leave it for a 30 or so days then they say oh its not good and/or to strong NURF!

What a bunch of stupid idiots they are for sure!

I get the feeling the beta testers would have been more akin to hardcore gamers who will have been more likely to complain about actual bugs than the horse issue. As soon as the general population started playing the moaning and complaining about why one class gets one thing and the other dont will have been ramped up and they had to do something about it.

I could be wrong....I usually am.

Doesnt alter the fact I will be moving 17% slower after this nerf :P

Not just talking about the horse BTW but about how they do the game over all. They have done it in EQ for years. Put in an item or spell after its been on test for a month then after 30 days they nurf it saying it was to powerful (rember KeI in EQ?)

And I am sorry to say that they only test for bugs is just plain silly to even say. Ok guys the sword of ever kill has no bugs and never mind that it crits for 2000 hp for a 1L toon lets put it in the game now. 30 days later you know that 1L should not be able to proc that! NURF!

I don't know if I was in charge of the this stuff I think I would atleast play test it like it will be played maybe? Just a thought after all they been doing this for 6 years now you would think they would have it down by now :(

I like you Broan...you make a lot of sense!

I can only asssume the the 'playtesters' put more emphasis on playing than testing! They are having so much fun, they just couldnt be bothered making up bug reports!

Now I....make very little sense :)

Antrygwindrose, that link is reported as "removed". Got another one?

I would like to see a small benefit from each of the "fluff" spells. Not sure of the actual names of your spells, please post if you have them, with a suggestion.
Fire Illusion = 5% fire damage mitigation.
Bear Illusion = 5% physical damage mittgation
Hawk Illusion = 5% disease damage mitigation
Panther Illusion = 5% poison damage mitigation
etc...

And to make it interesting, add a downside to the fluff spell while in that form. These are just ideas.
Fire = 5% damage to equipment
Bear = Slower turn movement
etc...

That way you would have to weigh the benefit/risk of using that ability.

Even so, the original purpose of the fun spell was just that, fun. No strings attached, nothing to worry about, and I think it adds yet another interesting facet to the game. It would be boring to see everyone running around looking the same.
Wait a minute, they already do... :)
Oh, right, that is being fixed also.

I think the bear form alredy gives you some good this as duz the wolf and cat forms. Just hawk is just the fun only and really don't matter if the shaman already has bear form.

So out of all u listed the hawk is the only fluff spell there tho I don't know to much about the Fire Ill spell.
