Lag HELL !Follow

I am running on a p4 3.06
1gb ddr Ram and an ati 9700 pro
I connect via cable modem


when im in a group somewhere killing i have the worst lag ever. I am main healer and you know how important of a job that is. MY problem with this lag is causing huge delays in spell casting and problems moving my char. This is really messing up my ability to be a good healer not to mention killing my fun.

Any ideas or suggestions to fix this darn lag??

i did a complete factory re-install and i have done all spyware checks. This computer is clean! so whats the problem?

You didn't list your video card, that is a huge factor in your gameplay. You could have 3 gig of the fastest ram and the fastest processor in the world and still run like crap if your useing a crap video card.

A obvious suggestion would be change your display settings to a lower setting. I found when I turned cloth simulation on it lagged me big time (and really didn't make a huge difference in graphics).

We get this in combat on two adjacent machines so I don't think it's local lag but server side.
