question about factionFollow

Ok....say you are a ranger and you had very good faction with the steelhooves in Thundering Steppes and you joined with this group and tell them, "please don't fight the steelhooves" well they ignore you and do it anyway.........Faction gone, Now KOS.....needless to say I unjoined the group, but too late I am afraid......what do I do to get faction back? Does anyone know? I have searched for information regarding faction in EQ2, but thus far I have found none. Any help on this topic would be greatly appreciated.
