i recently bought a new computer, not an incredibly good computer, but a fairly new model with ext4ra hard drive space and memory. after i ordered it, i decided to buy EQ2 because i enjoy EQ1, but my friends have moved on so i thought i should too. when the computer came, the first thing i did was load it on, everything went smoothly and i started up my station account again, the patches downloaded, but when i clikced Play, a message popped up and said that my video card didnt have some sort of pixel and vertex shader. ive been looking for a new card for literally a month, and now my free trial subscription is already up. will someone PLEASE tell me what kind of video card i need, or where to get one. it will help me out a ton. thank you for the help.

Pretty much any card that's at least 64 meg will do EXCEPT an Nvidia MX card. Which is what it sounds like you have.

If you look at any store that sells computer hardware, you will probably find graphics cards.

I wouldn't go for a 64mb one though, at least 128. Or 256 if you want.

I use a ATI Raedon Pro 9800 and it works fine, medium settings.

As far as where you can get one:
www.bestbuy.com
www.ebay.com
www.(insert computer/tech store here).com pretty much.

Hopefully someone can give you a few more links that leads to online stores or something.

I bought mine at best buy, and they forgot to put a ***** in!

I now have an ATI Radeon 9600pro 256mb that was bought of ebay for only $100 new. I run in the medium settings as well. So EBAY.com may be worth looking into if you don't mind waiting for the delivery ^.^

When you buy your video card, ensure it has those 2 modes.

I use NVidea 5200 128MB.
