Ok, I keep hearing about the black market, yet I am unable to find this guy in freeport, I keep getting told its in the sewers and I have combed over them many times and still nothing.

Can someone please help me out here on this subjet all information would be appreciated.

It is in the freeport with the travel bell. Swim off the dock behind the building in the water and you will see it.

not in the sewers

go to east freeport.. take a long walk off a short pier...

keep swimming out to the little island thing out there and go up the steps at the back of it...

there you are.. prepare for the pain.. 40% markup.. oddly, I've actually found things *CHEAPER* at the fence than at the legimate freeport brokers due to higher competition in Qeynos driving prices lower than the market on the same item in Freeport (if it's available at all) and that's AFTER the 40% markup.

In Qeynos Harbour, jump into the river and swim through a tunnel to get to it. Can't remember the exact location.

I found this post yesterday on the SoE site and thought I'd pass it along:

Quote:
I imagine most people have worked out how to use the broker. These guys sell items offered by player merchants at a 20% commission but also provide the information you need to get to the inn room and buy without paying commission

There is also a character who will sell you Freeport goods, popularly believed to be cheaper than the Qeynos market generally is. This guy is a Fence and he is rather hard to find

To reach him first find the broker in Qeynos Harbour. By the broker are some steps leading down into the canal. Go in and swim north. You will have to duck underwater to enter a tunnel and will see the Breath meter appear (for those without water breathing magic). Don't panic, the Fence is perfectly reachable before you run out of breath. Just go north up the tunnel and
soon on your right hand side you'll see a hole. Swim down through the hole then up into the room. Visit the fence and don't neglect the fighter arts (cough). I've some paladin and monk ones but ignoring my obvious self-interest there are genuinely cheaper goods to be found despite the 40% fence surcharge. If you don't want to pay the surcharge trhen try /telling the merchant, not everyone sells afk

If you're at all nervous about this simply get a priest to put an
Enduring Breath spell on you but I found it blind with a fighter without any help when I first looked for it (took about an hour and a half but I didn't have directions)

I don't have the OP's name... sorry for that omission, IMO, it is a very good post.

In Qeynos Harbor its in the water underneath where the city part meets the harborpart of that zone. In the tunnel underneath that walkway and in a hole in the wall.

Now one thing I dont get about the black market is how can you get to the persons Inn Room in Freeport to buy from them if you dont have citizenship? Kinda confuses me.

You don't actually go there... the black market NPC is a broker and you buy it from him... with an additional markup, (40%), since the goods are banned in your city.

The irony tends to be that zones closer to Freeport drop Adept 1s for good races, and vice versa.

However, in general the Qeynos market is inflated for everything because there's more demand there.
