JbootsFollow

I just recently claimed my jboots, and I am wondering where the stats are on them. I have seen characters walking around with jboots that give bonuses, but mine don't look like they have any. I haven't attuned them, and just wondering if when I attune them if they will have stats. Thanks.

The ones with stats are from a high-end heritige quest. Yours are the bog-standard ones.

Ahhh. I see. I wasn't aware they were a heritage quest reward. So then anyone can get the ones with the stats right? As long as they can complete the heritage quest that is.

That quest is called "The journey is half the fun" if I remember correctly.
Min requirements for Jboots is lvl 42.
The quest is not hard especially if you have the /claim jboots and evac.
If you dont have any of thoose you will need help.

This quest doesnt involve killing anything but you have to travel to certain destinations in antonica, commonlands, thunderingsteps, nektolus forest, zek, enchanted lands and feerot in a certain time.
For example, in antonica you will have 14 minutes to run to:
Tower of Vhalen
Keep of the Gnollslayers
Ruins of Caltorsis
Tower of the Oracles
Keep of the Ardent Needle
and back to quest NPC.

Evac is needed to get to docks in time in TS for example.

Found all the info you will need for this quest:

what happens if you don't make it in time? Do you get to keep trying over and over?
#7 Feb 11 2005 at 9:16 AM Rating: Decent
Yeah =)
Antoninca and commonlands is easy and I doubt you even need sow. And no evac is needed there.
Its a fun quest.. I can link you a map for the CL run when I get home.

Thanks a lot, I appreciate it. Now i just have to decide if I should keep my regular jboots and attune them, or if I should see how much I can get for them on the market. Do I really need them to get the good ones, or do they just make it easier?

They just make it easier :)

You ever seen anyone selling the basic jboots? I wonder how much they would go for.

I have tried and tried to do that first part of the jboots quest and I never can do it in time. And that is just the run around antonica, hate to think about running around Ferrot, Zek, Lavastorm.

its very easy as long as you have sow, pathfinding, selo or jboots. My girlfriend did it without any of thoose with 2 sec to spare.
I did it with sow and had 2.30 mins to spare.

anyways, I wont link my map from here since its probably the property of gry-online..
Check the comment I did for link to the map of CL run in the thread:

I have done up to TS on the JBoots Heritage quest, and have just slacked at bringing an escaper along for TS and further.

Antonica is fairly easy, just one big loop. It CAN be done with propperly timed sprints, decent food for regen, light overall weight and knowing the shortest ways to the landmarks.

One good tip on Antonica, don't be afraid to take falling damage if it will save you time.

Commonlands was easier than Antonica was. Again, familiarize yourself with the landscape and find the fastest route to each landmark. A way to shave a few seconds off of your time would be to figure out how close you have to be to get the name of the area to appear for you. Cut as far away from that as you can while still getting the update and heading in the direction of your next destination.

I.e. If point B is West of point A, and you are approaching point A from the South, cut to the SW of point A so you can immediately head to point B. If you know point C is North of point B and you are coming from the East, then try to get a diagnal line to the NW so you skim the NE corner of point B. Then go due North for point C.

Hope that wasn't confusing, if it was just reread it a few times and maybe even draw out a diagram, you'll see what I mean.

They're from the pre-order. They're not bad, just not all that great. I can normally get ahead of any PC's, running from mob's is a little tougher.

-edited for puncuation...didn't make any sense without the comma.
