Hey all new to EQ2 whats some of the good dmg dealers?

The best at total damage is debateable, but it is probably between Sorcerers (Wizards and Warlocks) and Rogues (Brigands and Swashbucklers). Rogues being melee and Sorcerers being magic damage. Any mages and scouts will do better than average damage.

i think it pretty screwed up now.
was using a log parser to measure the dps..
many classes has good dps
assassin, rogue, necro, wiz, and even my 31 cleric has good dps when i use all my burn spells.. (weird) the monk has often more dps than scout classes (that cant be right)? o well. hope that SOE fix it

yes, magic is way too damaging in game. resists dont do no where near enough. if it wasn't for havin high wisdom so i can plain out resist all damage from a spell it would be quite bad being hit by everything. it really needs to be cut back just a hair, or atleast increase what resists do.
They are planning on TRIPLING the dps potential of mage classes. Of course, assuming they can do so without annoying the mobs too much ;)
