Radeon 9200SE work?Follow

Sorry to be one of the thousands of people asking video card questions. I'm just seeing conflicting things. I'm about to upgrade my video card and am on a budget. Wanted something to get going on EQ2. I found an ATI Radeon 9200 SE card with 128 video ram for a good price.

Now I've seen the supported cards list and it IS listed....

But I understand the card has to support Direct X 9. The specs I saw on the 9200 SE list Direct X 8.1 so how is this card supported?

What am I missing? Can anyone confirm that this card works before I buy the thing? :)
