As a brawler you need to look on the "Trainer" not the scribe. The scribe has priest and mage scolls, the trainer has scout and fighter skills. They are usually in the shop with the scribe

Try using the guards to help you, right-click and type in Trainer.

jus to add in a little extra on this when you hit "K" to open up your knowledge book any abilities found under spells will be purchased from scribes(aswell as language primers), and any abilities under melee will be from a trainer. trainers and scribes in the newbie starting zones have all app 2 abilities from lvl 1-19. after that you need to goto new scribes/trainers that if your from freeport are in nfp at the arcane academy for spells and north of the acadamy are 3 trainers by a tree for your melee moves.(Also SK's you can buy your horse spell from one of these trainers)
if anyone from qeynos can put up locations of the lvl 20+ scribe an trainers sure most will appreate them

well the broker an the fence are gonna be your only way of gettin anything over app2. dont think anyone forgot, i think it was just a given.
