I just started my account again, and my PC seems to be handling it fine so far (I'm still on 512 ram, getting another stick this weekend)

So just a few newbie questions :D

How do you get to zones other then the starting ones, do you walk, or do you unlock them as you progress in level?

How do you get a mount, is there a level requirment?

Is there an auction house system, how do you sell/buy to/from other players?

Does rare gear drop from random mobs, and bosses?

yeah you can run to zones , and most arent locked to ya (some are because you have to do access quests to get into em ) however if your lvl 8 and you manage to actually get to one of the other zones (like nektulos forest for instance ) you will die as soon as you get aggro cause of the level range of the zone .

Buy one , and i dont think theres a level req, however mounts are quite expensive and some of the better ones your guild actually has to be a certain level to unlock .

you must be a FFXI player , man i miss that auction house . But there is a similar system ( albeit inferior ) called the broker . You can sell items via the broker or direct to other players via a trade window . However , for the broker you must be online , and in your house to sell .

Yes and yes but its better stuff of "boss" type mobs , also called Named mobs . But you can get random chests off regular mobs too .
